This post-modern showman can be seen currently, every Saturday and M onday
night performing his one-man show, “Amazing Comedy & Funny Magic” in the
1,000 seat Princess Theater. Not in Monaco, but rather cruising the
Mexican Riviera aboard the luxurious M/V Sapphire Princes. Lorenzo Clark
is probably best known as the host of the $25,000 Magic Challenge, a
recurring segment in the internationally syndicated television series
“Masters of Illusion.”
Since his television debut on “The Merv Griffen Show” in 1986, Lorenzo has
made many television appearances including “The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon,”
NBC’s “Friday Night,” FOX’s “Comedy Express,” HBO’s “Real Sex” and Fox
Family’s “Home and Family Sho w.”
Lorenzo’s acting debut in the film “BUY & CELL” with Ben Vereen and
Malcolm McDowell plays regularly on Comedy Central.
Clark made his TV hosting debut on the “13th Annual Saturn Awards,” the
awards show for “The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films.
Lorenzo hosted “Celebrity Golf” for LA’s K-CAL and has interviewed
numerous celebrities on-camera for various productions including FOX’s
“More than the Music.” Lorenzo’s live performance career boasts thousands
of live appearances in Vegas Reviews, Comedy and Night Clubs in almost
every state of the union. In addition, Lorenzo has performed on-contract
for several Fortune 500 companies and “opened” for concert entertainers in
venues as large as 5000 seats.
The son of “Disney Hall of Fame Imagineer, Clifton H. Clark;” Lo renzo
is a native of Hollywood, CA and grew up in the shadow of the world famous
“Mag ic
Castle.” As part of the regular performing rotation for 22 years,
Lorenzo is the only magician to start as a “Junior” and then go on to the
club’s “Board of Directors.” An acknowledged expert in the field of
magic, Lorenzo has served as consultant on such shows as “The Magic of
David Copperfield, “Jake and the Fat Man,” “Thicke of the Night,”
“Circus of the Stars,” “Magic of the Stars,” Disney’s “You Wish,”
Julio Englasias’, music/video “America,” “Inside Edition” and the film
“Hellraiser V.” Clark is also a five-time director of both Milt
Larsen’s acclaimed “It’s Magic!” shows and the “Academy of Magical Arts
Awards.” Clark’s directing credits range from Variety Spectaculars
to Classical Theater. Since
receiving his BA from the school of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA,
Lorenzo has moved back and forth from behind the scenes to the sp otlight.
Through his varied career as performer, director and producer, Lorenzo has
developed a knack for recognizing original and entertaining product.
From 1999 thru 2004, Lorenzo was a partner at Ampersand Media; serving as
consulting producer on the syndicated series “Crime Strike,” “The Wyland
Environmental Awards” for Animal Planet, PBS’ “Lord’s of the Mafia”
starring Robert Stack, Travel Channel’s “Vega$ Deal$ Revealed” and Fox
Sports’ “U.S. Poker Championships.”
